Eye Model Using a CCD Camera for Observing the Images Constructed by IOLs

The eye model that consists of a very high resolution CCD camera, a photographic lens, and an IOL put in water cell is constructed. The images are observed directly on a monitor and they can be compared and analyzed by a personal computer. The MTF of the eye model including CCD response are analyzed and it is found that the MTF resembles the total MTF of human eyes including the response of retina to brain. Here, we present the images constructed by two kinds of IOLs and the analyzed results using a resolution chart and a contrast chart.
