Traditional Tannery and Dyeing (Yirie) Methods

This study takes a critical look at the ingenuity behind traditional African tannery and dyeing methods in some parts of Northeastern Nigeria, in Adamawa State. It points to the basic concepts and the science involved in traditional tannery and dyeing using locally sourced materials.
