A Novel Framework of Defense System Against DoS Attacks in Wireless Sensor Networks

Recently, wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have been widely used in many fields. The security problem is one of the most important issues for WSNs and attacks defense plays an important role in the security systems. In this paper, we proposed a flexible DoS-detection framework for WSNs. The hierarchical framework is composed of two important stages: attack detection stage and defense countermeasure stage. By using this method, most kinds of DoS attacks, such as Jamming, exhaustion, and flooding can be successfully detected. We design some experiments to evaluate the performance of proposed method, and the experimental results show that our method can achieve satisfying result.
