Performance Analysis of Multicast Communication Based on Network Coding Technique

Network coding is a new technique which can improve the performance of multicast communications.Network coding conceptions are introduced,and the performances of network-coding multicast and those of existing IP multicast are compared.The benefits of network coding for multicast communication are analytically studied in throughput and traffic load balancing.The simulation indicates that network coding is more effective from the viewpoints of not only enabling max-flow transmission but also traffic load balancing in a network.
