A novel design to improve the precision of electronic load for high power application

Electronic load has established its irreplaceable role in the area of power supply in recent years. This paper proposed a novel project of improving the electronic load in constant current mode for high precision and high power electronic device based on multi-leg interleaved boost converter. In this research, the multi-leg interleaved electronic load was proposed for reduce input current ripple, the output voltage ripple and minimize the size of the device. With these parameters improved, the whole electronic load's performance will be perfected. In addition, this novel method has been compared with other advanced designation of boost converter structures which contains one-leg converter and multi-phase interleaved boost converter to show the ability of the multi-leg electronic load. Finally, the multi-leg interleaved electronic load has been tested in our laboratory based on TMS320F2812 DSP in practical, and the results of the experiment demonstrated the feasibility of the design we launched.
