Requisite Decision Modelling for Technological Projects

Taking decisions about technological projects whose consequences will be experienced by different groups of people raises a host of difficult problems. Some of these are solved by applying some form of social decision analysis (Howard, 1975), which is the application of decision theory to problems in which there are multiple stakeholders. This paper is concerned with one type of social decision analysis that is called decision conferencing. This new approach to group decision making can contribute to the complex planning and decision making processes that accompany large-scale technological projects.
