The Observational Study of Oral Corrective Feedback in Chinese English Classrooms

The increasing interactive activities in Chinese English classrooms have brought about the researchers' growing interest on oral corrective feedback.The present study aims to explore the patterns of oral corrective feedbacks used by teachers.The analysis of the data demonstrates that "recast" is the feedback form that has the highest occurring rate in the classrooms.Only a small percentage of "Negotiation of form" can cause "repair".Some suggestions for the teachers are offered according to the situation of students' uptakes under different error types.
