Intonation and anticipation in simultaneous interpreting

L'article s'interesse a la question de l'anticipation dans la traduction simultanee, et au role que jouent les facteurs prosodiques, specifiques a chaque langue, dans les strategies des traducteurs. L'A. presente un etat des reflexions sur ce probleme et complete son analyse par des experimentations qui montrent de facon nuancee la contribution des facteurs intonatifs a l'anticipation. Il est montre en particulier que la monotonie de l'intonation d'un texte source n'a pas d'effet negatif sur la capacite de l'interprete a anticiper le verbe, lors d'une traduction simultanee de l'allemand vers l'anglais.
