Study of AC Power Interchange and DC Power Interchange for Micro Grid Systems

The DC and AC interchanges are compared herein. Currently, an attempt has been made to prepare for the worsening of the power supply/demand balance arising from the spread of renewable energy by exchanging power between electricity companies. However, the synchronization of phases and frequencies in AC exchange is necessary. Therefore, a DC interchange is considered effective in simplifying the synchronization. Herein, we compare the DC and AC interchanges, and show the characteristics of each method from the results.
