Study of long-distance transmission of coal mine control system based on CAN-bus

Controller Area Network(CAN) is a kind of fieldbus and it is multi-master asynchronous serial communication network effectively supporting distributed control and real-time control. In this paper, aiming at long-distance transmission of CAN-bus network in mining industry, and based on specific project of integrated coal mine control system, three factors influencing transmission distance of CAN-bus are analyzed and the corresponding optimization methods are put forward. The production method of making the simulation wire of 120 Ω twisted-pair type in the National Coal Mine Safety Standards is described.Simulation of long-distance transmission of CAN-bus is carried out using the simuation wire, and the USNCAN-I and Freescale MC9S08DZ60 are used as CAN nodes of controller. The experimental results are analyzed in detail, which can be used to guide practical engineering.
