Biometric technology in mobile phones has been with us since 1998 but has struggled to pin itself to a suitable use case that results in significant adoption rates. Mobile phone biometrics, similar to biometrics in other computer devices and keyboards, has so far failed to even become a strong niche yet alone a mass market product.
