QoS-based Grid Service Selection Mechanism

【Abstract】Grid service concept is introduced by open grid service architecture, which supplies an effective way for virtual management of grid resource. Current research focuses on grid service discovery and invocation, while lack mechanism for managing non-functional properties of grid service. The non-functionality properties of grid service, such as service response time, price and reliability, etc., are very important, which reflect user’s respective QoS requirement for grid service. A QoS-based service selection mechanism is proposed to have the QoS model of grid service managed and evaluated. For QoS requirement of user, service match algorithm provides help to select the service which satisfies user’s requirement
