Consideration of Soft MIMO Detection for Turbo Codes

In this paper, we present a new results on soft MIMO detection for turbo codes. Proper utilization of soft decision information is one of the important factors affecting the performance of turbo codes. If a spatial multiplexing scheme with multiple antennas is used with turbo codes, the output of the detection process should be soft decision information. In this paper, we present various aspects on turbo-coded MIMO schemes which emphasizes the importance of accuracies of soft decision detection.
