Stabilizing switched linear systems with low overshoots

Properly switching among multiple subsystems could improve both the transient performance and asymptotic performance of switched dynamical systems. In this work, we extend our previous work on pathwise state-feedback switching for switched linear systems to achieve stability with low output overshoot. For stabilizable switched linear systems, we propose a modified switching design algorithm to achieve stability while reducing the output overshoot. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
