Definition and means of maintaining the room continuous air monitors portion of the PFP safety envelope

The purpose of this document is to define the Safety Envelope (SE) for the room Continuous Air Monitors (CAMs) and identify the methods for maintaining the SE. Further changes to this document will require review and approval from the Radiological Control Facility Technical Authority for Workplace Air Monitoring, the Operational Safety Requirement Representative, and the System 96A Cognizant Engineer. This document and its appendix will provide or reference: The system functional requirements for determining Room CAM operability. (Section 3.0); Evaluation of equipment operation to determine the system safety boundary. (Section 4.0); SE System Data Sheets annotated to identify the documentation and procedures for CAMs included in the SE boundary. (Appendix A); SE equipment. (For CAM listings see Drawings H-2-80107 Sheet I and H-2-99559 Sheet 1); Functional requirements for the individual SE equipment and components including appropriate set points and process parameters. (Sections 3.0 and 5.0); A list of the operational, maintenance and surveillance procedures necessary to operate and maintain the system equipment within the SE boundary. (Sections 5.0, 6.0, and Appendix A); and Requirements for calculation for the line losses for a transport line to a CAM. (Section 3.0).
