Optimization of Resources Distribution in Auto Spare Parts Warehouse Based on Arena

In order to improve the efficiency,service quality and reduce operating costs of the auto spare parts warehouse,a reliable simulation model was established for an auto spare parts warehouse in Arena software. The maximum resource utilization,queue time within the specified scope was the goals. The tabu search algorithm was used to find the best resource allocation scheme. The simulation results show that,the optimized scheme is more practical; it improved the rate of resources utilization greatly,and at the same time decreased the total number of resources. The new scheme not only improved work efficiency and service quality,reduced operating costs,but also provide a reference for the designers to solve the problem of resource allocation.
