Position control of ultrasonic motors using sliding mode control with multiple control inputs

This paper presents a new position control scheme for ultrasonic motors using sliding mode control with multiple control inputs. In order to achieve quick and precise position control, both drive frequency and phase difference of applied voltages are controlled based on sliding mode control.
