Unlike many books on the application of technology in education, this book focuses on both educational and social science issues, especially those that focus on how organizations and individuals will be affected by network learning. Some attention is given to other public policy issues related to the costs, both social and economic, of implementing CMC. Learning Networks is clearly intended for educators and students, but those interested in social, economic, and political factors related to the acceptance of new technologies will also find useful information.
