고령자 대상 인터페이스에서의 유니버설 디자인

Recently, touch interface has become vitalized and developed mainly with mobile phones. The development of touch interface on mobile phones will bring about increase of the importance of touch screen of all types of media equipment. Nowadays, as the rate of the population of the elderly is increasing worldwide, aging has become one of the biggest social problems we are going to face in the future. It is predicted that entering into the aging society, much more seniors than before will get involved in social and economic activities. Today, the active seniors who have the proactive and independent tendency based on their financial capability are emerging as the main agents of consumption in the areas of leisure and culture. What is suggested as the alternative for the aging society is the very universal design. With regard to this, the characteristics and limits of the muscular strength, vision, hearing and sense of touch of the elderly were examined through precedent studies. Practical research is required on the elderly users whose physical performance is less active than the youth.
