Method of Wireless Communication Resource Allocation by Variable QoS Parameter Negotiation in Wireless Network

PURPOSE: A method for allocating a radio resource by variable service-of-quality parameter negotiation in a radio communication network is provided to heighten a relocation success rate and support a stable handover. CONSTITUTION: A target RNC(Radio access Network Controller) receives a relocation request signal from a new SGSN(Serving GPRS Support Node)(300) and judges a type of a traffic class(302). If the traffic class is a conversational or a streaming traffic class(302), the target RNC checks whether a residual RAB resource satisfies an MBR(Maximum Bit Rate) and a GBR(Guaranteed Bit Rate)(303,304). If the residual RAB resource fails to satisfy the MBR and the GBR, the target RNC analyzes whether the residual RAB resource satisfies a minimum MBR and a minimum GBR(305,306). If the residual RAB resource satisfies the minimum MBR and the minimum GBR, the target RNC allocates the corresponding RAB resource(307) and transfers a relocation approval message to the new SGSN(308). If the residual RAB resource fails to satisfy a value between the MBR and the minimum value of MBR or a value between the GBR and a minimum value of GBR, the target RNC transfers a relocation failure message to the new SGSN(309).
