The invention provides a PAC (poly aluminum chloride) controller-based CAN (controller area network) bus locomotive double heading system and a realization method thereof. The CAN bus locomotive double heading system comprises PAC controllers, wherein the PAC controllers are respectively arranged on locomotives that are subjected to mutual double heading, each double heading locomotive also comprises a CAN bus clip, the CAN bus clip of each double heading locomotive is mutually connected with the PAC controller of the double heading locomotive, and the CAN bus clips of different double heading locomotives are in one-to-one correspondence connection through CAN buses. According to the realization method of the locomotive double heading system, after the CAN bus clips of one locomotive are succeed in initialization, one CAN bus clip is at a communication state, the other CAN bus clip is at an inactive state, and then the PAC controllers is used for deploying the CAN bus clips to be used so as to establish double heading communication. Compared with the prior art, the PAC controllers are adopted for deploying the CAN bus clips so as to form a double heading communication network, the system has high compatibility and strong conformability, the timeliness and reliability of the communication between the double heading locomotives are enhanced, and the system has the outstanding advantages of low construction cost and the like.
