As a view point of operating the high power laboratories, there is necessary to improve the time efficiency because the tests are mainly performed by high-priced equipment. Moreover, an application program that is properly customized to a certain laboratory's power system will help a test engineer to easily calculate the circuit parameters and analyze the phenomenon that is happened during short-circuit and load switching tests. This paper describes a theories for simulation in high power testing, i.e. short-circuit current breaking process depend on earthing condition of the neural for power system, transient recovery voltage(TRV), inrush current during the capacitive current switching and non-simultaneous pole closing depend on the system configuration.
