Panel - using various methods to holistically assess engineering education

This session is based on the vigorous discussions at FIE 2004 using surveys and portfolios for assessment. There will be four brief presentations by researchers currently using chemistry concept inventories at Arizona State, researchers at South Alabama using affective factors and student achievement, researchers at Humboldt State using student attitude surveys and research at nine southeastern universities using surveys and grade point data to assess students leaving engineering. These presentations will be followed by focus group discussion, group reports, and further discussions
