Measurement of Pulse Electromagnetic Field Using Wide Band Fiber Optic Analogue Transmission System

A fiber optic analogue transmission system for pulse signal in strong electromagnetic is introduced.By correcting the photoelectric cell's nonlinearity in advance,and by increasing the RC coupling time constant the system has wide dynamic range,little nonlinear distortion and wide pass band from 1 Hz to 150 MHz.By adjusting the input circuit along with an antenna the system can be used to measure pulse magnetic field or electric field.Design methods for the pulse electromagnetic field coupling circuits and measurement examples are presented.The examples show that the system is suitable for measuring wide band pulse electromagnetic field.
