System maintenance scheduling: Review and prospect

Over the recent decades, maintenance policies have involved from Corrective Maintenance (CM) to Preventive Maintenance (PM) and then to Condition Based Maintenance (CBM). In this context, this paper first presents a brief review on the development of maintenance policies with emphasis on CBM. In CBM, we classify the literature into three classes: CBM1, CBM2, and CBM3. And then we summarize the maintenance scheduling problem in power system under different time scales. Finally, we point out the possible future work in power system.
