Questions and Answers: Our Response

The reviews of our draft report, Public and Private Schools, ask four kinds of questions: (1) Is the study itself satisfactory on technical grounds? (2) Do the study's results, which are generally more favorable to private schools than to public schools, appear correct? (3) What inferences can be drawn from results such as these about the effect of policy changes on educational outcomes? (4) Is this the way social policy research should be done?
