Microstrip ultra-wideband dipole antenna simulation by FDTD

Two planar dipoles are simulated by using the FDTD method. Results of return loss and boresight gain are obtained and compared with the measured results. This type of antenna is well-matched for UWB sources. It is found that the gain results are excellent and the return loss results are not in good agreement. A more accurate feed model is necessary for better return loss results.
