Training and Development: A Primer for Protection Professionals

Implementing productive learning programs is a responsibility shared by security managers, supervisors, training instructors, and faculty at educational institutions. To achieve this is not a simple undertaking. “Learning never stops” is an appropriate motto for those involved in the design and delivery of instructional programs related to security/asset protection. This chapter addresses the major strategies, tactics, and challenges faced within the instructional arena. It is primarily from the perspective of the training instructor or security supervisor.
