The development of English language teaching keeps changing with the changes of English classroom teaching. Cultureteaching plays an important role in English teaching. Meanwhile, CET-4 still has great influences on English teaching in China.The change of translation section has aroused the attention of teachers and students on the concept of culture introduction. Theclassroom activities can be diversified based on the increasingly perfect activity-centered approach. Taking the course named"AnEnglish Introduction to Chinese Culture"as an example, the effective classroom activities design of college English translation lec-tures in independent institutes has been discussed in this paper, so as to optimize the teaching mode of English classroom.
