Image Acquistion System on Microsatellite Palamede

The paper presents the design of the image acquisition system of Palamede microsatellite. The CCD sensor, the video camera lens and the image acquisition board are designed on the basis of the nominal mission of the satellite. Ground tests on the system allow to define the maximum possible angular velocities that do not compromise the image quality. These parameters then represent a performance target for the attitude control system.
