Review of "The Call Girls" by Arthur Koestler

adequate as the sole textbook for any course. However, it would be an excellent supplemental text for many courses in systems engineering at either the undergraduate or graduate level. In addition, it would make excellent reading for the mature engineer who wishes to learn more about the recent developments in systems engineering. Despite these difficulties, this book does fill a gap that has existed in the literature. It also makes one sorry that he missed the remarkable series of lectures at the California Institute of Technology in 1971. However, I suppose that reading the book is the next best thing to having been there.
