Inthis contribution, anewmethodtodesign multi- loopcontrol systems withseveral controllers isproposed. Controllers areassumed tobeplayers ofacooperative dynamic game,whose solution isobtained bymulti-objective optimization (MOO).The MOO problem issolved byapplying agenetic algorithm andthe final solution isfoundfromanoptimal Pareto set. Asillustrative example, thecontrol systemdesign ofa reverse osmosis desalination plantisused.Simulation results are satisfactory andshowthatinmanycases, asforexample this desalination plant, multi-loop control withseveral controllers, whichhavebeenobtained byjoinmulti-objective optimization, perform asgoodasmorecomplexcontrollers butwithless implementation effort.
