Modeling and coordinated control of synchronous machine excitation and ASVG based on Hamiltonian system theory

The three order unified state-space system model is established for a single-machine infinite-bus power system with ASVG(advanced static var generation).The non-linear coordinated controller based on generalized Hamiltonian energy theory for the bus-voltage of system,where ASVG is installed,and synchronous machine excitation was designed and the non-linear property of the dynamic system is well preserved and utilized,which can meet the requirement of stability of generator power angle and that of ASVG voltage.Simulation results of the single-machine infinite-bus power system with ASVG verify the effectiveness of the controller.
