Remote Collaboration Design System for Ships

This paper analyses the business characteristics of ship design and the requirements of informationization of shipbuilding industry, and introduces the framework, workflow and environment of the remote collaboration design system for ships, which is developed by the authors. The way the system supports parallel and collaborative design in different places is also presented.
