Miniature 60 GHz transmitter/receiver modules on AlN multi-layer high temperature co-fired ceramic

Very compact 60 GHz transmitter/receiver modules for W-LANs have been successfully implemented by using AlN multi-layer HTCC and MMIC technologies. The two modules that have leadless DC/IF interfaces are highly integrated in the extremely small size of 1.0 cc (21/spl times/16/spl times/3.05 mm/sup 3/). The presented modules are operated at the highest frequency of aluminum nitride multi-layer HTCC MCMs, to the best of our knowledge.
