Research of on Low Load Performance of Diesel Engine with Sequential Turbocharging Technology

As the main marine engine,diesel engines have to meet all performance requirements in work conditions.In order to improve the performance in low operating conditions,the conversion with the sequential turbocharging system is done for diesel engines,reaching the design aim of small volume,simple structure,easy to repair and high reliability.On the basis of the model,the STC diesel engine is calculated and the sequential turbocharging switch point is determined.Then based on the experimental study of propeller,limiting and universal characteristics of the diesel after transformed,the changes of power and economic on working conditions of ITC and 2TC when the diesel works in the different conditions has been analyzed.
