Attitudes on Residential Integration: Perceived Status Differences, Mere In-Group Preference, or Racial Prejudice?

Les AA. examinent les attitudes manifestees aux Etats-Unis sur le plan de l'integration residentielle. Ils estiment que les mecanismes de perception interviennent dans les processus d'integration et de segregation. Ils presentent un certain nombre de donnees collectees a Los Angeles en 1992 concernant ce type d'attitude. Ils s'efforcent d'evaluer le role de certains facteurs socio-economiques, celui de l'ethnocentrisme. Ils tentent, de meme, de savoir si une attitude hostile manifestee a l'encontre d'un groupe determine les vues sur l'integration residentielle. Ils estiment que ce dernier facteur est le plus significatif en cette affaire
