On the achievable rates for the relay channels with generalized feedback

In this paper, two different feedback configurations of the relay channel are investigated. Specifically, in our first configuration, the source node in a relay channel is replaced with a full duplex node (physically the same as the relay node), which enables the source node to collect feedback from the channel; in the second configuration, the destination node is replaced with a full duplex node, which enables the destination node to send certain feedback via the channel. For either of the configurations, coding schemes based on the ideas of decode-and-forward and compress-and-forward are developed to exploit the corresponding feedback to help the transmission from the source node to the destination node.
