A protection cooperation evaluation system and a driving method thereof are provided to evaluate a protection cooperation of a distributed power source protection device and various lines by using a real time power distribution system simulator which is similar to a practical environment. A real time power distribution system simulator(110) simulates a practical distributed power source connection power distribution system. A D/A conversion part(115) converts a power signal simulated in the simulator into an analog signal. A signal conditioning part(120) controls an output signal of the D/A conversion part into an input voltage/current level of a protection device. A power distribution line and distributed power source protection device(130) is operated according to a voltage/current signal of an optimal level outputted from the signal conditioning part. A Di connection part(140) converts a contact signal outputted from the protection device into a DI contact point, and inputs the DI contact point to the real time power distribution system simulator. An MMI(Man Machine Interface) part(150) displays an evaluated result to a user. An RS232 communication part(160) transmits a protection device setting signal generated in the MMI part to the protection device through an RS232.
