Application of five-view approach in embedded systems architectural design

The conventional embedded systems designs, which are based on analysis of system processes and separate software from hardware, ignore the integrity of software and hardware and the features that hardware updates quickly. In order to solve these problems, from the angle of methodology makes an introduction of five-view approach, which tries to facilitate the software-hardware combined design(SW-HW co-design) based on the architecture-driven way. They use a soft real-time embedded systems with multi-user and multi-task processing capability as a concrete example that illustrates how to apply five-view approach in embedded systems architectural design with UML from different angles described the architecture of software and hardware.Overall,a new ideation is proposed which has guidance significance for embedded systems designs.
