Analysis at the First Four Resonant Mode Types of an Esclosed rectangular microstrip patch on a Dielectric Substrate

The lowest order resonant mode of each of the four resonant mode types of an enclosed rectangular microstrip patch on a dielectric substrate are analyzed to determine frequency separation of the modes as a function of patch aspect ratio. Results are presented showing the separation in frequency of the modes, the effect of enclosing box dimensions, and the number of basis functions required to get an accurate solution.
