Strengthening of glass fibers obtained by recycling of polymer composite material

The results of the study of the recycling of the glass-reinforcing filler of the polymer composite material with the epoxy matrix are presented. The data of the epoxy plastic swelling kinetics during solvolysis in an ethanol medium in the temperature range of 200...280 °C were obtained. Optimal modes of fiberglass recycling have been established. The fibers processing at 250 °C have a strength of 18.6 % higher than the original fiber. As a result of the research, the presence of a polymer coating with a thickness of about 100 nm was established on the surface of the fiber.
