Rectal gastrointestinal stromal tumour removed by hybrid endoscopic submucosal dissection—a video vignette

All rectal gastrointestinal stromal tumours(GIST) should be considered for resection due to the risk of malignant potential1 . The goal of all resections is to achieve grossly and microscopically negative margins. Small GISTs with limited bowel circumference extension located in the distal rectum may be candidates for transanal resection2 or endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)3 depending on the distance from the dentate line.
