th , 2012 Abstract: Thermoelectric generation (TEG) is a technology which can directly convert heat flow into electricity with migration of micro-particles among dissimilar thermoelectric materials. TEG is a noiseless, reliable, space-saving, and eco-friendly power generation method, which has great potential in applications. Currently there is an important cost factor to address in order to break-through wide applications of TEG in marketplace. The cost can be under good control with a proposed high density integration of micro thermoelectric devices. Lead by a National 1000-Plan Expert, the research team from China Huaneng Group is making huge efforts in developing the fabrication technology of high efficiency and power density thermoelectric generators. TEG is renewable energy and is suitable for the utilization of waste heat recovery.
