An Overview of 3D Graphics

Almost every major application of computers requires the construction and manipulation within the computer of a model representing some entity or artefact in the outside world which is being designed or analysed. Often a single model is inadequate for all the different manipulations that are required, so several different models of the same object may be constructed, with transformations defined between them. (This is common, for example, in geometric modelling.)
