Findings on student miss-conceptions when performing oral exams

Pandemic conditions forced us to evaluate maths students using online tests. In this situation, the impossibility acknowledge authenticity of students answers motivated us to introduce oral exams as an additional verification step. However, oral exams gave as a new perspective on student understanding of the subject and conceptual errors. This work is a first exploratory step on analysing the videos of these oral exams to better model student knowledge acquisition, and to design better ways to teach the subject.
