Possible Roles of Cell Membrane & Cytoskeleton in Quantum Aspect of Psychiatry

This paper is concerned with the molecular aspects of the classification of subjects with Major Depression (MD) and Bipolar Disorder (BD) and the possible roles of cell membrane and cytoskeleton in quantum aspect of psychiatry. Classification is based on a Self Organizing Map (SOM), called ADAM, of three fatty acids in platelets (Palmitic acid-PA [C16:0], Linoleic Acid-LA [C18:2], Arachidonic Acid-AA [C20:4]) and their roles as markers of the two major mood disorders (MD and BD). The weighted considerations on the dynamics between membrane mobility and interactiome and the symmetry breaking between MD and BD seem to be linked to Linoleic Acid. The latter is critical in the regulation of molecular fine tuning apparently involved in modulating different levels of intensity of mood disorders, consciousness, learning and memory processes.
