Self‐shifting of CO2 lines in the 3ν3 band at 1.43 μm

Pressure induced shifts have been observed in 3ν3 band of pure CO2, with the high resolution Fourier transform spectrometer of Meudon and using a ’’single beam two cells’’ method. It is shown that these shifts originate mainly from a vibrational effect connected to the anharmonic nature of the vibrational states of CO2. (AIP)
