MELHORAMENTO GENÉTICO DO TRIGO: XXXII. AVALIAÇÃO DE NOVOS GENÓTIPOS DERIVADOS DO 'IAC 24' QUANTO ÀS CARACTERÍSTICAS AGRONÔMICAS E À QUALIDADE TECNOLÓGICA

Twenty nine wheat genotypes originated from crosses between the cultivar IAC-24 and proved sources of resistance to Puccinia recondita and specific bread production traits, plus the cultivar IAC-24 (control) were evaluated in comparison to cultivar IAC-24 (control). The experiments were carried out at different wheat regions of the State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, in the period 1993-95. Considering grain yield, the genotype 24 (CM H. 74 A-630/SX//CNO 79/3/IAC-24) showed good performance in the Paranapanema Valley; the genotype 26 (YACO "S"/IAC-24), at Capao Bonito Experiment Station; and, the genotype 23 (CM 6530/IAC-24), under sprinkler irrigation, at Mococa Experiment Station. Resistance to the causal agent of leaf rust were noticed in the genotypes originated from the crosses where Yaco "S" and Agent/6*SKA//AGA/4/TI71 were involved. Six out of the 29 evaluated genotypes presented high sensitivety to the Al toxicity. The hard wheats showed high yield of flour extraction compared to the soft wheats. Considering the different parameters under evaluation for technological quality the genotypes 16 (IAS58/IAS55//ALD/3/IAC5/4/ALD/IAS58/8.1034.A//ALD/5/CNR/6/BUC"S"/7/IAC24 ) and 12 (MRNG/4/NAD/FOR//PCN/3/BLT/MES/5/PAT2195*2/ZP"S"/6/ALD/EMU//CHAT/7/VEE/8/IAC24) were the best, based in the study of genetic diversity by principal component analysis.
