Design of Novel Hybrid Active Power Filter Based on LC Shunt Resonance

In order to satisfy the requirements of reactive compensation and harmonic suppression,improve the power quality and reduce the developing cost of hybrid active power filter,a new topology of shunt hybrid active power filter is proposed.In the new topology,a base resonance circuit is introduced to reduce the capacity of APF.The working principle of the new topology is described.Simulation experiments are done with the software PSCAD/EMTDC,and the results show that the new topology has better filtering performance than the traditional one.The results also verify the effectiveness and validity of the new topology.
